My story begins when I was younger and had the burning desire to change the world. Most kids have some type of superhero complex when they are younger and eventually grow out of it. 

Not me!

I spent the vast majority of my life searching for that one thing where I could leave my mark on this planet. Most of my working life I worked in ICT. I worked as an all-round communicative ICT professional and have broad experience in diverse roles working for small to large businesses in mostly the industrial sector at group and project level. I have extensive experience with implementations of ERP packages, business process automation using both industry standard and in-house developed software. It is my ambition from ICT to support and optimize the business process and thereby improve the success of the organization. However fun! This is not making the impact in so many lives I truly desire to make. 

Today’s global challenges make everyone aware that something needs to change. Some put it aside. Others are desperate searching for answers. I have the answer to the global CO2 challenge we are all facing. Where other solutions are scalable to a certain degree, the solution I am building will have a global impact.

Who thinks that our current climate has been changed by man? And who thinks we’re going to stay below 1.5 degrees of global warming? 

Earthlung is granted to innovative solutions to global warming that meet high standards of sustainability and profitability. The big idea crossed my mind when I was doing one of my favorite things. In my spare time one of my hobby’s is to grow plants, obviously with a high degree of automation, giving my ICT background. What if we could ‘store’ CO2 in seaweed and process it into humus? The problem here is not that we need to grow seaweed on a scale as large as the continent of Africa. It is not the weather, storms or any other plagues making it hard to harvest. The biggest challenge I have to change the world and start making an impacts is, believe it or not, money!
